  • Yospace to demonstrate the latest advances in dynamic ad insertion to improve ad performance
  • Collaborations across the show floor with Akamai, Bitmovin, Capella Systems, and castLabs
  • Yospace experts on hand with deep DAI knowledge on best practice for maximizing monetization

Staines-upon-Thames, UK, 20 March, 2025Yospace, the global leader in dynamic ad insertion (DAI), is demonstrating the latest tools and techniques for boosting ad performance at NAB Show (April 6-9, Las Vegas, booth W2325).

Among the product enhancements presented will be server-guided ad insertion (SGAI), the next evolutionary step in ad stitching technology; Orchestrator, for improving efficiency and ad opportunities during one-off live events; and client-guided ad measurement, for improving ad tracking across third-party endpoints.

  • Server-guided ad insertion (SGAI) capabilities will be on show across live streaming, VOD and AVOD. Innovations include longer, ad-supported DVR windows for live, faster load-up times for AVOD, and new side-by-side ad formats. Demonstrations at NAB Show will be powered by HLS Interstitials. Visitors will also get the latest update on progress with the ratification of the specification for MPEG-DASH Events, including target availability for commercial support.
  • Orchestrator for one-off live events (pop-up channels), demonstrating how automated live channel creation with server-side ad insertion (SSAI) can greatly increase the amount of ad inventory available during live events. Orchestrator provides operators with a live dashboard to monitor multiple channels simultaneously. Live feeds come direct from the encoder, eliminating latency, and allowing more in-play ad spots.
  • Client-guided ad measurement (CGAM), a new ad measurement technique that provides real-time insight without the need to have device based SDKs. Based on the new Common Media Client Data v2 (CMCDv2), it delivers reliable and accurate ad measurement in scenarios where third-party bundled apps or free ad-supported TV (FAST) endpoints are involved.

Tim Sewell, CEO at Yospace, said: “NAB Show 2025 comes at a time when there is more focus on ad revenues for streaming than ever before. Dynamic ad insertion is critical to that as it bridges the gap between streaming tech and adtech. We’re bringing over a decade of specialist ad insertion experience to the show and the team will be on hand to share the latest insights and the best methods to improve  monetization.”

Dynamic ad insertion best practice

Yospace will also be discussing its five best practice tips to deliver better ad performance and revenues. These have been distilled from 13+ years of experience alongside customers including DIRECTV, FOX, Tubi, and many more. Yospace’s DAI stitches over six billion ads every month.

The five core areas will cover:

  1. Improving viewer experience, leading to longer ad-supported viewing sessions
  2. Increasing platform reach, to apply advanced advertising techniques to the widest possible audiences
  3. Unlocking new inventory, to maximize ad opportunity potential in premium content
  4. Monetization at mass scale, using Prefetch to support the adtech ecosystem for better fill-rates and realizing the full potential value of each ad spot
  5. Applying trusted, actionable measurement, that results in improved campaign performance and a better advertising proposition to present to advertisers

Partner demonstrations

Yospace’s drive to improve monetization for its customers is built upon pre-integrations at every point of the dynamic ad insertion workflow. The company is collaborating with a number of its trusted partners all across NAB Show.

  • Server-guided ad insertion, in collaboration with Bitmovin. The demonstration includes side-by-side advertising in live streams and VOD using HLS Interstitials. Bitmovin Analytics will monitor quality of experience (QoE) of streaming sessions and audience engagement. Available on the Yospace and Bitmovin (W3221) booths.
  • Server-guided ad insertion, in collaboration with castLabs. Its leading PRESTOads solution provides advanced client-side tracking to attract more ad spend. Available on the Yospace and castLabs (W2369) booths.
  • Orchestration for one-off live events, in collaboration with Capella Systems and using its Cambria Stream live encoder. It simplifies implementation and monetization of pop-up channels, while creating valuable new ad spots. Available on the Yospace and Capella Systems (W1152) booths.
  • Dynamic ad insertion using Akamai Connected Cloud, the world’s most distributed platform for cloud computing, security, and content delivery. Further details available in the Akamai Lounge (Meeting Room W234LMR, Level 2), demonstration on the Yospace booth.

Stefan Lederer, CEO at Bitmovin, said: “Bitmovin’s latest Annual Video Developer Report rated Dynamic Ad Insertion as the biggest technology challenge facing the video streaming industry today, and monetization was ranked as the top opportunity for innovation. There’s a clear need to improve ad performance in the industry and deliver seamless and personalized ads to audiences. Yospace is widely considered the expert in ad insertion, and our collaboration at NAB Show emphasises both companies’ commitment to improving ad performance.”

Zak Putnam, Senior Director of Business and Innovation at Akamai Technologies, said: “Yospace and Akamai have been great partners for a very long time and we’re really excited about what we can do in the market together for our joint customers, specifically around Akamai Connected Cloud. Yospace brings a really unique and dynamic capability with its ad insertion capabilities, especially as NAB Show attendees are always looking for better monetization capabilities.”
